Workshops and tutorials will be held at the University of Hyderabad, located in Gachibowli in the outskirts of the city, about 20 KM from the city's new international airport. Getting to UOH from the airport
Radio Taxi service at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is provided by leading service providers Meru and Easy cabs . This is an air conditioned cab service with charges payable on the basis of meter reading at the end of the journey.Only those taxis that have taken the license for operating Radio Taxi Service from the Government of Andhra Pradesh can operate this service in Hyderabad
Fare is Rs.15/KM, with a minimum of Rs.30 which includes the first 2KM traveled.
Waiting charges are Rs.1 per minute.
25% night surcharge is applicable between 2300hrs to 0500hrs,
Distance from the airport to the university is 22 KM.
Getting to UOH from the Railway Station
There are four stations covering the city, Secunderabad, Nampally (Hyderabad), Kachiguda and Begumpet.
Since it is difficult to get public transport or taxi service from Begumpet, it is advised not to get down at Begumpet station.
Getting to UoH From Secunderabad
There are pre-paid taxi and autorickshaw booths located near the main entrance/exit of the station.To take the public transport, take the bus to Mehdipatnam (Number 5) and from there take the bus to Lingampally (Number 216) and get off at the stop for University of Hyderabad.
Getting to UoH from Nampally
There are pre-paid autorickshaw and pre-paid taxi booths located near the main entrance/exit of the station.If you wish to use public transport, route no. 216 brings you directly to University of Hyderabad.
Getting to UoH from Kachiguda
Pre-paid taxi or autorickshaw service may be used. If public transport is preferred, buses can be taken to Nampally and from there route no. 216 to University of Hyderabad.Other means of transport
MMTS trains are available between all important stations. Take an MMTS train to Lingampally station. From there, an autorickshaw can be taken to the university. please consult the time table for timings of the trains coming to Lingampally.In addition, call taxi service is available.
